Direct Development breaks ground
on $55 million Nashville development
Green Bay, Wisconsin-based Direct Development Inc. has broken ground on the first phase of its $55 million Rolling Mill Hill urban living development in Nashville, Tenn. Overlooking the Cumberland River near downtown Nashville, Rolling Mill Hill will include the renovation of three historic Nashville General Hospital buildings as well as two new buildings on the property.
The 81 condominium units included in the project’s first phase are expected to be ready for occupancy in late 2008. The project’s second phase will include 92 units and will begin upon reaching pre-sales target levels, possibly as soon as early 2008.
“We’re excited that we’re able to play a major role in the transformation of this fantastic property,” said John Hopfensperger, president of Direct Development. “The Rolling Mill Hill development will become a distinctive neighborhood of which the Nashville area can be proud.”
Direct Development is a development, general contractor and renovation specialty firm. Direct is one of two developers awarded contracts for the Rolling Mill Hill project, the other being Streuver Bros., Eccels and Rouse of Baltimore. LaSalle Bank is the lead lender on the project, with Associated Bank serving as co-lender.
